Chapter I - Provenance

faking awake, a near grey hour.
before the sun crowns with its golden kiss,
as gaia rears her head to dream green into the black,
there is a hollow place.

in this place lies humility,
a silver, tender nihility,
for here breathes the shade of blood.

pulsing. the earthen rhythm of man,
a drumming heart, bound in mortal flesh.
a fire to his touch.
the moon and stars, the heavens in his voice.

Chapter II - Fever Electric

a rock-strewn hilltop, an ochre sunset.
a sighing song, the tongue of wind - of warming, of telling.
waning light conjures a long shadow - then a footfall...
and her name is whispered breathlessly into the coming night.

the clouds, they turn scarlet and electric.
born is a knifing wind, bound in chilling rain,
and dusks blessed song shifts quickly so darken.
then... a single peal of the wild...

of the wild, rocking thunder.

two thousand days. lost to the Goddess' Zion.
to fall down on the stone threshold of her temple,
his skin pale and naked - his heart raging against the wall,
the mighty ivory wall that shields against his will.

that shields against the unspoken...

there is searing yen, a muted bitten lip,
an annihilating note - there's nova within,
- a fiery truth beneath his heaving chest.
for his love is to lust,
as his kiss is to sin.

Chapter IIIA - Rhapsody

crying upwards - lifting high and away,
beyond the pines and upon a lonely place in time.
a breathless wish, for a gift rendered in immortal might.

this childs' wish of parent sol:
to wash with light the furthest shores of night,
cresting as a wave of dawn, a lovers' solitude come undone.
to be the presence of love and of rapture,
a touch and warmth, his smile and laughter.

and given to luna:
a price exacted and a bonding witnessed,
with a spoken word of promise given freely,
he will brave a depth, blackened, aphotic.
and with each breath he will breathe her name.
her name smoke and wisp upon a wind, a gale.

he promises loyalty, the hearth his only bedding warmth.
as fealty to the sun to watch over with light,
to shelter and nurture and protect from the night,
his heart and his soul, a vision so bright...

while he cannot be there

Chapter IIIB - The Anti Nirvana

an ascending note, as dawn breaks.

a spirited, brightly-woven crescendo,
spills forth and floods.
it seeks breath and blood,
and life and love.

a rush - a sorrowful urgency.
it hastens its call,
winged as ancient, hallowed harmony.
a broken moment, so filled with power.

and at its peak, as light melds melody,
it slows.
and comes to a realising stop,
on a salt-stained face.

and as his thoughts sink into the crushing ebon deep,
as his essence spreads blackened gossamer wings,
a certain sick gravity overpowers him.
and smites his ruin, wheeling, upon the ground.

cracked. and lying on a salted plain.

trembling. and tangled, in the cradling arms
of twisted rapture.
